Stephen B. Self, MD, F.A.C.S.
Dr. Self is a native of Hopkinsville, KY. After graduating with honors from Vanderbilt University, he attended the University of Louisville for medical school and general surgery residency. He completed a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Florida and additional training in minimally invasive endovascular techniques. Dr. Self was among the first vascular surgeons in Kentucky to perform vascular angioplasty and stenting as well as endovascular aneurysm repair. He continues to be a leader in evaluating and applying new surgical and endovascular techniques. By staying current with the latest advances in all aspects of vascular disease, Dr. Self is able to provide the most appropriate medical, surgical, or minimally invasive therapy for his patients. He has consistently been chosen by his peers as one of the region’s top Vascular Surgeons in a survey by Louisville Magazine. He is board-certified in vascular surgery. Dr. Self is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Vascular Surgery. He and his wife Dr. Mary Self, an endocrinologist, have three children.
David A. Lipski, MD, F.A.C.S.
Dr. Lipski is a native of Wisconsin. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Louisville and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Having recently recertified, he is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is registered as a vascular technologist. His practice interests include carotid operations for the prevention and management of stroke, angioplasty and bypass for treatment of exercise-associated leg pain and gangrene and arterial aneurysms. In addition, he has a special interest in the treatment of venous disorders, including venous ulcers, varicose veins, and spider veins. He has a large experience with minimally invasive procedures including VNUS Closures. Because of that special interest, Dr. Lipski has earned board certification in phlebology, the field pertaining venous diseases and their management.
Suresh Alankar, MD, F.A.C.S.
Dr. Alankar is from India and completed General Surgery Residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery from the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. He is dedicated to providing the best possible care to his patients and has a special interest in endovascular treatment of peripheral vascular disease and stent graft repair of abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms. He is also interested in thoraco-abdominal aneurysms, carotid disease and venous surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery.
Ferenc P. Nagy, M.D., F.A.C.S
Ferenc Nagy, M.D., a native of Michigan, attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit. He then completed a General Surgery residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Nagy is board-certified in General and Vascular Surgery and is a registered physician in Vascular Interpretation. He specializes in the treatment of arterial bypass and reconstruction; abdominal and thoracic aneurysm repair; carotid endarterectomy, endovascular surgery; balloon angioplasty, and stent placement, vascular access procedures for hemodialysis; varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulcers; and endovascular aortic aneurysm repair. Dr. Nagy is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.

Jane Kuhn, RN, APRN
Jane is from North Dakota but has spent most of her life in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2001, she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from University of Louisville and was Vice President of her class. Soon thereafter, Jane became credentialed as a Registered Nurse. Jane is pursuing a Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and will complete her studies in May 2010. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau.
Anthony Elliott, K-CSA
Tony is a native of Jeffersonville, Indiana. In 2005 he earned his Associates Degree from Madisonville Community College in Surgical Assisting. He has over 11 years of vascular and thoracic surgery as well as general, neurological, and orthopedic. Tony is certified through the Kentucky Medical Board and the National Association of Surgical Assistants. He is recognized as an allied health professional by the American College of Surgeons.
Jennifer Walker, APRN
Jennifer is from Evansville, Indiana and moved to Louisville in 2002. She attended Purdue University and University of Southern Indiana to earn her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and became credentialed as a Registered Nurse. She completed her Master's of Science in Nursing at University of Louisville and is a Board Certified Adult Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau.

Benita Crowson RT (R), R.D.M.S
Benita is a native of Owensboro, KY. She is a graduate of the Daviess County Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. She began her career in ultrasound in 1978 and earned the R.D.M.S. (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credential through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Benita also has an Associate Degree of Science from the Owensboro Community College.
David C. Downs, RVT
David is a native of Bardstown, KY. He earned an Associates Degree in Sonography from Saint Catherine College in Springfield, KY. He received his Registered Vascular Technologist credentials through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. He is currently on the Saint Catherine College Sonography Advisory Board. He is a member of the Society of Vascular Technologist and Kentucky Vascular Society.
